Bag Bill Dies in Committee

This legislative session we were fortunate to have Senator Bullard sponsor a bag ban bill for the second year in a row. Last year, the bill didn’t get put on any committee schedules and therefore was never heard publicly. This year, Senator Dean, Chairman of the Senate Environmental Preservation & Conservation Committee, made sure the bill was given a stop in his committee.

Unfortunately, there were still concerns with the implementation of the bill and it will be pushed to next year. Thanks to all for their support on this issue.

Thanks to all who came out to today's beach cleanup at Crotty Park and to +Balsa Bill and Papagallos for the pizza and beverages. The beach and beach access points are much cleaner now.

We covered a lot of area south of Crotty Park and Keep Brevard Beautiful covered everything south of Pelican Park. Satellite Beach is a much cleaner and safer place to walk now.

"Remember the sea oats plantings last month organized by Surfrider Foundation – Sebastian Inlet Chapter? These little plants appear to be thriving at Bonsteel Park. Thanks again to the volunteers."

Thanks so much for checking in on them and giving us this great photo Vince!
