Treasurer Eric Schwarz: Positive financial report.
Ocean Friendly Restaurants: Shannon Shneyder reported that the Nomad Cafe’s owner has agreed to become an Ocean Friendly Restaurant. Great work Shannon and thanks to the Nomad Café for making the commitment to preserve our ocean.
Schools: Outreach strategies for encouraging families to join the foundation discussed. End of year party at Paradise Park offered as an option with Surfrider tent to facilitate recruiting possibly to be held last day of school.
7:30 Events Update.
Eats and Beats at the Beach netted Surfrider donation of approximately $400.
FIT Sonic Waves at Intracoastal Brewery was a great event.
Northrop Grumman Earth Day event netted two new members and presented an opportunity to highlight plastic pollution reduction efforts.

Archie Carr Refuge Beach Cleanup on April 21st, 8:30 – 11 am.
Chapter social meeting on April 26th at Hell’n Blazes.
Hands Across the Sands Demonstration denouncing offshore oil drilling on May 19th, 10:00 until Noon at Paradise Park.
Boards, Brews and Bands Festival at Intracoastal Brewery on May 19th, from 1 pm – 10 pm.
Waterman’s Chapter Challenge on June 2nd at Cocoa Beach.
March for our Oceans on June 9th at Canova Park; details TBD.
International Surfing Day at Paradise Park on June 16th from 9 am – 1 pm.

Sebastian Inlet Surf and Sport anniversary party to support First Peak Project on Saturday May 26th. A surfer’s fitness festival will be held from 3:30 – 5:30 with the party beginning at 5:30.
